Maureen Pomeroy has devoted her legal practice to diligently representing her business and non-profit clients in a variety of legal matters. She has worked in law firms in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Maureen represents individuals and businesses with all legal matters associated with running a business or non-profit entity. She advises her clients on corporate formation and continuance, licensing, drafting and reviewing contracts, employment and human resources consulting, and litigation matters.
As part of her employment practice, Maureen assists human resources professionals with the myriad of state and federal employment laws.
She is certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute, which is a private organization that is not regulated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the State of New Hampshire. Maureen also underwent training with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination to assist her clients with discrimination and harassment matters.
Maureen also litigates cases in the Massachusetts and New Hampshire in both the state and federal courts. She also assists clients with state and federal administrative cases, such as the EEOC, Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, New Hampshire Human Rights Commission, and Department of Labor.
Maureen served as a law clerk to the justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court from 1999-2000. She graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts, and received her B.A. in Psychology at the University of New Hampshire with presidential honors.
She has served as a volunteer with the Salem New Hampshire Conservation Commission, and presently serves on the Newburyport Zoning Board of Appeals.
Maureen is admitted to practice law in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
